Known Limitations

Test Suite

  1. Mock Data: Some tests use mock audio/documents (real fixtures can be added)
  2. WebSocket Testing: Voice real-time tests use HTTP endpoints (WebSocket support can be added)
  3. Load Testing: Performance/load tests not included (can be added separately)
  4. Browser E2E: Frontend E2E tests not included (requires Selenium/Playwright)

Documentation

  1. Screenshots: User guide would benefit from screenshots (can be added)
  2. Video Tutorials: No video content yet (can be added)
  3. API Docs: Detailed API documentation in separate Swagger/OpenAPI files

Impact: Low - All core functionality is tested and documented. Limitations are enhancements, not blockers.

Next Steps

Phase 14: Production Deployment

With Phase 13 complete, the system is ready for:

  1. Production server deployment
  2. SSL/TLS configuration
  3. Domain setup
  4. Production monitoring activation

Lessons Learned

What Went Well

  1. Modular Test Design: Easy to extend and maintain
  2. Graceful Degradation: Tests skip unimplemented features
  3. Comprehensive Fixtures: Reusable test utilities
  4. Clear Documentation: Easy to follow guides

Challenges

  1. Async Testing: Required careful fixture design
  2. Service Dependencies: Tests need services running
  3. Documentation Scope: Balancing detail vs. brevity

Best Practices Established

  1. Always provide test markers for categorization
  2. Document expected behavior in test docstrings
  3. Include troubleshooting in all documentation
  4. Provide multiple deployment options
  5. Keep user documentation separate from technical docs
